I think I've found my car, and I'm getting all jittery over it because it's a long way away and getting it home is going to be interesting. Someone has offered to help me drive it most of the way, but I haven't driven in months and I'm a little bit terrified. I really hate driving, and the last time I drove any distance I managed to destroy a tyre by clipping a curb whilst trying to change lanes. And it could be a rust-bucket just about to fall to pieces and I wouldn't be able to tell just from looking at it. I mean... How would I know? *wibbles all over the place* I hate trying to be mature and stuff. :(

When you're too tired/hungry to really pay attention to where you're going when in search of a chippy, do not follow the road labelled "Spencer Parade" just because the name sounds cool. You will end up in the dodgiest part of a fairly dodgy town, buying chips at a Kebab house (BAD IDEA) and then being unable to find your way home again.

On the plus side I found my local CockSuckers (aka CostCutters cornershop). So if I ever reach this level of starving again I can save myself the pain and horror of Kebab shop chips and buy something nukable.

Totally wrote an amnesia fic in my head last night (I love lucid dreaming), only problem is I never saw the amnesiac's face... So I don't know who they are either. I don't even have a fandom, because people from all my other fandoms kept appearing and there was an inkling of recognition for all of them, but none of them recognised him. (There's a posibility the character was supposed to be me, but that would suck, so I'm ignoring that option for now)

So the question is, do I arbitrarily asign someone to the role, do I write it out until my brain works it out, or do I get you guys to pick someone?

I'm debating an amnesia meme - where I give you everything I know about the character and you can vote on who you think it is.

Or it could be like one of those multiple choice stories - does anyone remember those? That's actually quite tempting...

So to add to the scene, two kids called Willow and Warren have just joined us in the cabin. Lindsay is proving quite good with them. I am so close to having a slightly hysterical gigglefit. Warren keeps getting into trouble with his mum

ETA The mum, Lindsay and I have just had a chat about vampires ~ I did not bring this up in any way, that was entirely the mum ~ the gothic and forbidden love. Lindsay does not get the appeal of vampires. At all. I am broken I tell you. Broken.
We then spoke about theses. She studied English.

So I'm sat on a train with Lindsay, which is making it quite uncomfortable to write the fic I was planning on writing this journey. She doesn't seem like the type to read over my shoulder (little old lady. walking stick and all) but having given me her name to see me then writing about... what I'm writing about with her name involved...
Fun times. Time to write something else.
