Day 26 - Dollhouse, Epitaph One

Straight off Dollhouse Wiki:
Joss Whedon, talking to Scifiwire, said about the episode: "The decision had to do with the studio saying, 'We need another episode for our package, and we can't afford one. Can you do a clip show? Can we show the unaired pilot?' I'm like, 'No, you can't. It wouldn't make any sense. Besides, we cannibalized it for parts. Most of it's in other episodes.' And they were like, 'Well, we really have to have 13 for foreign.' And I said, 'I'll tell you what. I'll shoot a post-apocalyptic thriller that's all on our sets in six days with a cast of four other people, then we'll pepper it with different bits from our regular cast, and we can do it all during the schedule. It'll cost you half. I can do this.' And I was so in love with the idea that I just came up with off the top of my head, and that's what it turned into. It's one of the best episodes we've ever made."
Joss Whedon, with half the money, and a cast of people we DIDN'T KNOW, made the best episode of a TV series.
Worship the Whedon. Worship him.

Fran Kranz/Topher broke me in this episode. And himself. Olivia Williams/Adelle fixed me right back.
Oh, and Eliza? A 13 year old played your character better than you. I'm sorry, you're gorgeous, but... no.
Day 27 - Battlestar Galactica - Pilot/Miniseries
"Are you alive?"

We start with the end of the world. Chaos, destruction, death, greed and the overwhelming human desire to live. Things only go down from there. A stunning reworking of what was quite a dire TV show in its time.
Day 28 - X-men (the animated TV series)
(haven't checked the audio on this, sorry if it's dodgy...)
Day 29 - Castle

Take all your traditional cop dramas, your CSI, your NCIS... Throw them out the window. What were they all missing? A sense of humour. What does Castle have in spades? Childish narcissism... sorry, no... well, yes... but it has a sense of humour!
Corpse jokes. Irreverent over enthusiasm at a death scene. Wild speculation (and appropriate level of cop - "Seriously?") Bad humour. Overt flirting. Firefly references. Real live authors sat around a card table poking fun at each other's characters.

The most lovely Father/Daughter relationship you will ever see on TV ever.

And Nathan Fillion in Mal Reynold's costume for halloween. ;)
Day 30 - Supernatural Season 2, Sam Winchester
There is no death, there is only pie (Part 2)
OK, so despite linking you all to Kroki Refur's episode review there, I am of course refering to Sam's sudden and shocking death at the hands ofHardison Jake at the end of season 2. For the best review of said death... well, Refur does it way better than I ever could.
If you've never come across Refur before... well... WHY THE HELL NOT!? http://kroki-refur.livejournal.com/68780.html - picspams for awesome win, leave some awesome reviews. See especially the scientific paper on water. *nods seriously*
And if Sam's (first) death made you sad, read the following fixes for the episodes:

That's all folks!
