PS: For all their 'it's not what you think with Eliot' - that has got to have been his dad, right? Right?
Wait. What did I miss?

Believe me it's a shared one.
Do you have it for re-watch? If not I'll post it somewhere for you. When Eliot goes down and stays down, along with the flash-back audio to things which happen in this episode there is one voice that doesn't fit. Have a listen.

The other thing I have to re-watch. Watching it on headphones while your kids watch some TV thing in the background doesn't help.
Eliot is my new god
That's all I'm saying on the subject of 4.06.

huh, even after several listens, I didn't catch all that, just, maybe, "it's not what you.. think?garble", maybe see?...but I did hear, very clearly, Get up son" (echoed "get up")
so I think you're right- either his dad or a coach, maybe a sergeant. Fatherfigure/trainer, at least, it must have been.
But no doubt I loved the ep- except, when he goes off comm because he got nailed with a piece of machinery and is lying unconcious? i do think somebody besides the brat should have been looking out for him;(
