Day 1, Day 2, Day 3
Day 4 - Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
For most fandoms, yes. But this rarely happens cross-fandoms unless I already know I'm going to be writing a crossover. Logan is especially pushy in X-men fandom, Eliot is quite pushy especially in leverage fics where he's one of a small cast (especially dualogues - he always manages to make the discussion about himself) and yet not the primary. I wouldn't call them a muse though - the muse inspires the writing, a pushy character detracts from it. I have a different muse for each psudo and they generally disagree on everything which makes it easier to work out which name I'm supposed to be writing under.
Sooo... apparently I'm so tired I did Day 4 twice. Umm... MOVING ON! :D
Day 5 – If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
Urg, there are only really two options, either let the character steam-roll the fic, or put it to one side and try to write it sneakily while the character isn't looking. This latter works especially well when I'm feeling quite brain-dead but I already know what's going to happen if I can only keep that other character quiet. *glares loudly at Eliot*
First Bite is still sat on the side for this very reason. I'm not having it turn into the 'all about Eliot' show. It's *Hardison's* fic, for crying out loud.
